The successful candidate will be responsible for the proactive and strategic leadership of the organization, overseeing all initiatives, and driving growth. The Executive Director will be expected to foster stakeholder relationships, including alumni, and maintain a strong presence in the community. Operational management, including the supervision of staff and the production of events, is also a key aspect of the position.
Applicants for the Executive Director role at the company should have a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in nonprofit cultural arts organizations, with a proven track record in public relations, marketing, and fundraising. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized communities, particularly Black, Indigenous, and Latinx, and a strong commitment to anti-racist and anti-oppressive practices. Experience in media, video, filmmaking, or digital arts, as well as an educational background, is highly desirable. The Executive Director must possess strong communication skills, a collaborative and relationship-oriented personality, and the ability to lead with vision and determination. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, and the role demands a leader who is resilient, flexible, and able to handle sensitive matters with care.
