SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE: The HRIS Analyst is responsible for supporting and maintaining the growth and changes of HRIS and other HR systems. This role ensures HR system of record and enterprise technology are in sync at all times. You will partner with multiple stakeholders and serve as one of the HR liaisons for HR system related processes, procedures and reporting, providing HR support to creating and maintaining efficient work processes, systems and programs that ensure HR operations and data are managed effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and maintain employee and temporary worker records in HRIS (Workday), including entering new employee information, employee changes, and terminations.
Assist with managing HRIS user access for system administrators, employees, and new hires.
Provide support for HRIS, including researching and resolving problems, unexpected results or process issues; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
Serve as a primary point of contact for Workday; provide guidance and develop/deliver training to human resources personnel.
Monitor daily interface between HRIS and enterprise systems and work closely with IT/DT to troubleshoot errors/discrepancies and make corrections as necessary.
Collaborate with HR and stakeholders of other functional areas, such as IT/DT, Finance, Payroll, as well as external vendors, to identify business requirements, process improvements and systems-driven solutions.
Ensure that all required information and business processes are maintained per company policy and required compliance; collaborate with internal partners accordingly.
Support configuration of HR modules, as needed, including but not limited to Benefits Open Enrollment, Performance Management and Advanced Compensation.
Develop, maintain and enhance reports, including custom ad hoc reports, to internal and external customers, while ensuring security, protection and sensitivity of HR data.
Prepare compliance related reports, including but not limited to EEO-1, VEVRA, VETS, AAP, CA Pay Data, adhering to filing requirements and work closely with third party consulting firm on ensuring accuracy.
Conduct audits for data quality/integrity and system maintenance, ensuring accurate data is delivered to all parties, including third parties.
Act as primary point of contact for regulatory, internal audits (SOX and FDA audits).
Prepare organizational charts as needed.
Identify process changes to increase automation, improve the efficiency of HR processes and make recommendations accordingly.
Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve system issues, cases or tickets as it relates to Workday, including data errors, security, process, and integration with a focus on identifying the root cause and creative problem-solving. Analyze and correct errors and ensure proper quality controls are in place to avoid future errors.
Participate actively in the Workday Community, propose and advocate for improvements to Workday, and build a network of peers to share best practices.
Continuously increase both HR and Workday knowledge.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct people-management responsibilities at this time.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and minimum three years of Workday experience; or
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Workday certification highly desired
System Administrator experience for HR related systems
Knowledge/Skills: Proficient in interpreting and applying HR regulations and practices and possess an in-depth working knowledge in audits and reporting.
Proven track record with HR technology project implementation and maintenance.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent listening, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Must be able to operate in a changing environment and be able to manage ambiguity.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Strong planning and organization skills required.
Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Able to act independently and assume responsibility for multiple initiatives in a fast-faced environment yet remain flexible in response to changing needs and competing demands.
Self-motivated, organized, solution-oriented, collaborative team player.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this positionis $98,000 - $140,000 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate's geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors. In addition to the base salary, as part of our Total Rewards program, Exelixis offers comprehensive employee benefits package, including a 401k plan with generous company contributions, group medical, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus program, or if field sales staff, a sales-based incentive plan. Exelixis also offers employees the opportunity to purchase company stock, and receive long-term incentives, 15 accrued vacation days in their first year, 17 paid holidays including a company-wide winter shutdown in December, and up to 10 sick days throughout the calendar year.
