The Ohio Commission for the U.S. Semiquincentennial charge is to oversee the state's participation plan for the United States of America's 250th anniversary which culminates on July 4, 2026. Ohio currently has almost 11.8 million individuals who call Ohio home. Each of the 88 counties contain a diverse make-up of individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experience. The America 250-Ohio Commission is responsible for designing and implementing outreach strategies that align to the community's unique assets, interests and community driven plans.

Note: The America 250-Ohio commission is mostly funded by the State of Ohio and will operate from now until the Commission sunsets no later than June of 2027. Staff will be hired through the commission's fiscal agent, Ohio History Connection (OHC) and receive the same benefits as their full-time staff: healthcare, enrollment in the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS), paid time off, and a membership to the Ohio History Connection which includes over 55 sites across the state.

Position Summary:

The Ohio Goes to the Movies (OGTTM) Program Coordinator is a part-time position that will require some flexibility in scheduling. You will be responsible to assist the Program Director in the success of this once in a lifetime opportunity to showcase Ohio film through a statewide celebration in each of our 88 counties, commencing in early 2026. This is a Signature Event of the America 250-Ohio Commission as part of the celebration of the 250th birthday of the United States of America. You will gain invaluable experience and a deep working knowledge of the Ohio film ecosystem and help shine a national spotlight on the industry here. This is a pivotal role in the success of this endeavor and will require hard work and dedication but will come with a great deal of satisfaction, as well as help pave a path of this industry moving forward

Essential Functions: Helps with developing ideas, budgets, and goals for OGTTM with the Program Director. Assists with researching of new markets and solicitation of new venue hosts while retaining and maintaining relationships with existing venues. Assists with booking events in all 88 counties. Assists in communications with venues, film commissions, film festivals and college/university, filmmakers and other interested parties. Assists with managing Ohio Movie Database. Tracks and organizes all venue contracts/MOU's, grants, etc. with proper paperwork including W9s, certificates of insurance, and SWANK or Criterion licensing. Tracks post-event evaluation summaries by venue. Helps with development of and updates to OGTTM marketing materials including brochures, flyers, digital materials, etc. as needed Prepares and communicates notes from team meetings, monthly program updates, updates on performance metrics, and other reports as needed. Manages calendars, schedules appointments, assists with travel Required Education & Experience

Associate's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field PLUS three to five years relevant working experience OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field PLUS one to three years relevant working experience.

Desired Skills & Experience Experience working in some facet of the film industry be it as a filmmaker, with a film festival or at a movie venue, event production experience a plus. Ability to work in both an office setting and on-site/in-the-field settings which are high energy and dynamic. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), MailChimp Effective organizational skills, including attention to detail, prioritizing and managing multiple tasks. Excellent ability to communicate with staff, volunteers, and the public, both orally and in writing Ability to work independently. Ability to pay close attention to detail while completing repetitive tasks. Ability to provide excellent customer service to staff and the public. Application Instructions:
