Our client in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago is looking for a Records Management Specialist for a temporary assignment, this will be on-site Monday – Friday.
While familiarity with Insight or MS Purview is advantageous, we value your willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities: Oversee multiple small projects, including domestic and international onboarding, RIM awareness campaigns, policy reviews, records processing audits, legally compliant records destruction, and historical artifact collection and preservation.Independently resolve issues within your functional area.Collaborate with all business units to identify workflow problems and develop solutions that reduce risk and enhance productivity.Address evolving business, legal, and historical needs affecting record-keeping requirements.Manage the capture, storage, and destruction of confidential information across multiple record centers, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.Provide litigation and audit support by ensuring compliance with records freeze orders from internal and external agencies.Develop team members and oversee the collection, cataloging, preservation, and display of historical artifacts.Qualifications: 2-3 years' experience in records management.Bachelor's degree preferred.Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes and recommend best practices for managing inherent records.Demonstrated ability to influence actions without direct authority.Experience in working with international locations.Ability to handle large workload while maintaining high quality output.Ability to work independently and proactively.Ability to manage sensitive and highly confidential information with discretion and integrity.
